Air Terjun Srigethuk

Keindahaan Air Terjun Srigethuk

Kabupaten Gunungkidul di Provinsi DI Yogyakarta makin terkenal dengan pantai-pantai barunya yang indah. Namun, selain pantai, wilayah ini juga dianugerahi dengan keindahan alam lain yakni gua dan air terjun. Air terjun Srigethuk adalah salah satu lokasi wisata baru yang menjadi buah bibir selama setahun terakhir ini.

Ketika saya berkunjung ke Srigethuk akhir pekan lalu, kesan pertama saya adalah adanya kemiripan dengan Green Canyon di Jawa Barat. Namun, tentu saja setiap lokasi memiliki keunikan sendiri-sendiri.

Pada dasarnya, inti objek wisata Srigethuk ini adalah tiga air terjun yang berada dalam satu lokasi. Ketiga air terjun tersebut jatuh di bebatuan yang sama kemudian bersama-sama mengalir di Sungai Oya. Masing-masing air terjun tersebut berasal dari tiga sumber mata air, yaitu Dong Poh, Ngandong, serta Bleberan. Selain ketiga air terjun utama, ada beberapa air terjun kecil — dalam bahasa Jawa disebut kriwikan — di lokasi tersebut.

Objek wisata ini masih cukup baru sehingga infrastruktur pun masih terbatas. Namun, jangan khawatir, sarana dasar seperti toilet dan warung makan sudah tersedia di sini. Hingga saat ini, objek wisata Srigethuk masih dikelola secara lokal oleh pihak Desa Bleberan.

Walaupun sarana masih terbatas, pihak pengelola telah membangun tangga batu dari tempat parkir menuju ke tepi sungai, sehingga wisatawan tidak perlu khawatir ketika menuruni tebing. Butuh waktu sekitar 5-10 menit untuk mencapai bibir sungai. Setibanya di pinggir sungai Oya, Anda akan dimanjakan dengan paduan warna kehijauan sungai serta tumbuh-tumbuhan yang mengelilinginya. Pohon-pohon kelapa menjulang tinggi tertiup angin.

Dari sini Anda tidak dapat langsung melihat air terjun utama, hanya sebuah air terjun kecil di kejauhan. Anda harus menaiki rakit untuk mencapai air terjun Srigethuk. Di sini Anda harus membayar Rp 5.000 per kepala untuk perjalanan pulang-pergi. Ada dua buah rakit yang beroperasi di sungai itu, yang mengangkut wisatawan secara bergantian.

Butuh waktu sekitar 10 menit untuk mencapai air terjun utama. Sebenarnya jaraknya tidak terlalu jauh, namun rakit berjalan sangat lambat. Dari atas rakit Anda dapat mengabadikan pemandangan yang memang mayoritas didominasi warna hijau. Semakin dekat, air terjun Srigethuk (yang juga dikenal dengan nama Slempret) ini semakin menakjubkan. Ketiga air terjun jatuh dari ketinggian sekitar 25 meter. Ketiganya bergabung menjadi satu di bebatuan yang berwarna kekuningan di bawahnya.

Setelah turun dari rakit Anda harus menyeberangi batu-batu basah itu untuk mendekati air terjun. Rasakan sensasi mandi di bawah Srigethuk! Banyak wisatawan yang memanfaatkan waktu untuk mandi dan berenang di sungai sekitar air terjun. Hijaunya air di sini adalah karena lumut, bukan karena limbah, sehingga aman untuk mandi.

Beberapa bagian dari Gunungkidul merupakan tanah tandus sehingga air yang berasal dari Sungai Oya dan air terjun Srigethuk bagaikan oase di Desa Bleberan ini. Air dimanfaatkan untuk pengairan daerah pertanian penduduk setempat. Vegetasi yang umum di wilayah tersebut adalah jagung, jati, serta kayu putih.

Bila sudah puas bermain-main di air terjun, Anda dapat menumpang rakit untuk kembali. Apabila perut sudah melilit, ada beberapa warung makan di sekitar tangga menuju ke tempat parkir. Cobalah salah satu menu khas Gunungkidul, yaitu tiwul. Tiwul adalah makanan yang dibuat dari singkong. Secara umum, tiwul manis dimakan untuk makanan ringan.
Namun, di Gunungkidul serta beberapa daerah sekitarnya tiwul ini dijadikan pengganti nasi yang dimakan dengan lauk-pauk. Cukup dengan Rp 4.000 Anda dijamin kenyang makan tiwul berlauk tempe penyet!

Menuju ke Srigethuk

Dari Yogyakarta, Srigethuk dapat dicapai melalui jalan Yogya-Wonosari. Sebelum sampai di Wonosari, tepatnya setelah lapangan udara Gunungkidul, Anda harus membelok ke kanan menuju ke Playen. Sampai di pertigaan pasar Playen, Anda kembali membelok ke kanan untuk menuju ke arah Desa Bleberan. Setelah itu akan ada penanda arah untuk menuju ke Srigethuk.

Tanda-tanda yang tersedia cukup banyak. Jalanan dari Yogyakarta hingga ke mulut Desa Bleberan sangat baik, namun setelah itu cukup buruk karena banyak bagian yang belum diaspal. Setiap orang yang berkunjung ke Srigethuk dipungut biaya Rp 2.000 sementara mobil Rp 3.000. Biaya itu sudah termasuk ongkos parkir, jadi masih sangat murah!

Selain Srigethuk, Anda juga dapat berkunjung ke Gua Rancang yang berada di desa itu. Biaya yang Anda bayarkan sudah termasuk kedua lokasi wisata sehingga Anda tidak perlu membayar lagi. Nah, saatnya wisata hemat ke Gunungkidul!
